Julius André (1808-1880)was a German pianist, organist, and composer from a musical family of French origin in Offenbach, Germany.
He was born in Offenbach and died in Frankfurt am Main.
He mainly worked at his brothers music store as a custodian.
During his life he transcribed many pieces from famous composers for use on the organ.
These are two of his own original compositions.
Charming works, both of them, certainly not those of a genius, but written by a very fine craftsman who knew his trade.
