Ukrainian Folk Song "Farewell, Dear Country Home", Op. 81

Vidas Pinkevicius recently wrote some beautiful compositions on Ukrainian Folk Songs. This piece is on the folk song "Прощай, Село Ріднесеньке", translated "Farewell, Dear Country Home".
I can write words about the horriful situation in Ukraine, but I think music says it all. This piece represents a sadness and a longing towards home as it once was, that only Ukrainians can understand.

The village in the picture is Kvasy in the Zakarpats'ka Oblast. A village surrounded by mountains.
