My team leader in IT proudly reported that his family had bought a piano and they were now practising this piece. I promptly ordered the sheet music and started playing .....
Quite simple but so effective:
I cried like an infant while practising this piece. Such a beautiful thing. Actually, it's for piano, and as it progresses there are many repetitions, but then octavated. Unfortunately, the organ can't do that, so there's no octave.
A recurring theme of Georges Delerue's film music for François Truffaut's film Jules and Jim is varied several times by Yann Tiersen in his music for this film as the main theme.
I play this enchanting piece from the film "The Enchanting World of Amélie" on the Saint Jean-Luc du coeur organ, which is very appropriate to the character of the piece, where I have added a good amount of reverb to blur the sometimes somewhat static accompaniment.
