British composer Matt Geer (b. 1996) was educated at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Queen’s University Belfast. His principal teachers have been Ann Hohenkerk, Laurence Crane, James Weeks, and Simon Mawhinney. His “main interests lie in phenomenological approaches to consciousness, system composition, and aesthetic philosophy.” Geer has also been active as an organist, championing music of young up-and-coming composers.
