Three years ago, Sietze de Vries (Groningen, NL) improvised a series of beautiful variations on this well known German Christmas chorale, recorded in Martini church of Bremen (D).
I was very impressed, and therefore that became my first attempt to transcript music from Sietze. I am still thankful for his appreciation, when I showed him my results after finishing this transcription.
This recording was played on the unique sampleset of the Arp-Schnitger-organ Steinkirchen (D) from OAM.
Today I want to present the first part of those variations. The second part may follow till Christmas, also my score for free download.
