3. Récit de Haubois, air d’un opéra de Dezède

This is the third Noel in a collection of 34 pieces. Using an opera aria, it has a somewhat unusual theme for a noel. In its musical texture and melodic development it is much more classic than barock. I have played it on the late barock organ of St. Maximin, built during the composers lifetime.
