Advent is just around the corner, and it has become cooler and darker outside. Time for a fugue to the chorale "Nun komm der Heiden Heiland". I composed this one for 5 voices, which sound together in the coda. I have attached the notes in which the typical reworkings of the head theme such as inversion, inversion and augmentation are marked by letters. The fugue head theme is the driving force of the entire composition. It runs through all the voices and mysteriously creates a perpetual motion machine of a special kind. Almost like Bach? Well, almost ..... as Robert Schumann so aptly said about Bach: "Against him, we are all just bunglers" ;-))
Have fun with this little fugue ....
