Today the score of this piece fluttered before my eyes - and it looked promising. I tried it out and lo and behold, it is a very beautiful piece of music composed by Aaron Esteve.
There are no references to this composer on the net, only Petrucci has pieces by him, which suggests that he probably uploaded them himself. A small side note is "b. 1997", which again suggests that he is a very young contemporary composer. This fugue, or rather this canon, is quite similar to Bach's C minor fugue BWV847 - at least I thought of it immediately after the first bars. The original is for a wind trio with oboe, clarinet and a bassoon. The sample set St. Jean-de-luc fits the character of the piece very well. I recorded the first and second voice live on two manuals, then in a second run the pedal voice on the manual, and then put the bass on the pedal.
