Pierre du Mage had a somewhat unconventional career started as an organist and ended as a civil servant.

His only surviving work is his livre d'orgue containing a suite.
The eights and last movement is a grand jeu: It opens with a majestic introducts, then follows a lively middle part in 3/4. to end in a lmajestic part again in 4/4.
