Sample Set: AVO - Kanizsa
Software: Hauptwerk VI
Genre: Medieval and Renaissance
Description:
Playing Nagy Istvan (istwannn)

This is a Beta version of my new sound sample. The organ is located in the Catholic church of Magyarkanizsa in Vojvodina. It's a pretty weird little instrument. Most of it dates from the late 1790s, probably made by Ádám Mertz, and was a one-manual positive.

The church was enlarged several times and the sound of the organ could not fill the larger space. Therefore, it has been expanded several times unprofessionally. Finally, in 2019, László Varga reconstructed the original organ and added a second manual and a pedal operation with a few registers. The big question is whether enlargement was necessary. In any case, the sound of the organ got bigger, it retained its baroque style, but there is something strange about it.

In any case, this little piece is performed by my friend István, sometimes with astonishing registration, very humorously. :)

The sample is expected to be released in a few weeks.
