American composer Joseph Kudirka (b. 1978) was born in Michigan and studied at Northwestern University, California Institute of the Arts, and Huddersfield University. His teachers included James Tenney, Michael Pisaro, Amnon Wolman, M. William Karlins, and Alan Stout. Recordings of Kudirka’s work have been released on the Another Timbre record label, and his music has been commissioned and/or premiered by numerous musician and ensembles including Rhodri Davies, Daniel Plöger, Anton Lukoszevieze, Mark So, Phillip Thomas, Zinc & Copper Works, wandelweiser komponisten ensemble, edges ensemble, and Ensemble Neue Horizonte Bern. Kudirka has also performed and recorded as a double bassist. |
