Charles Rudolf Friml (1879 - 1972) was a Czech-born composer of operettas, musicals, songs and piano pieces, as well as a pianist. His melody, "Chanson" has seen many transcriptions and arrangements, and here I present it to you on the Salgareda pipe organ sampleset, arranged by Edward Shippen Barnes.
Edward Shippen Barnes (1887, Seabright, New Jersey - 1958, Idyllwild, California) was an American organist and composer. He was a graduate of Yale University, where he studied with Horatio Parker and Harry Jepson. After graduating from Yale, Barnes continued his studies in Paris with Louis Vierne, Vincent D'Indy, and Abel Decaux. He also composed two organ symphonies, other smaller organ works, arranged works for the organ and wrote books about religious music.

I discovered this delightful tune on a digital conversion of a recording by Spencer Shaw on the no-longer-standing Kingsway Hall Organ:

I do recommend spending some time over there with @Vintage Sounds - a wonderful collection of rare recordings - time travel!
Inspired Acoustics just released the 'Salgareda' set - built by Zeni in 1999, the 26-stop instrument is built in the French Romantic style. IA have proposed utilizing Hauptwerk's internal convolution engine to generate high-quality reverb, and in this set they provide both a front and rear dedicated IR to use with the sampleset. They recommend loading the set with 250ms release truncation (or you can do this via the voicing controls), before using the IR.
In my room I play with front and rear surround sound. Therefore, I am using two "perspectives" in Hauptwerk to route two 'copies' of the dry audio which is then processed through the IRs.
IA have a blog post on how to set this up:

I hope you enjoy this French-inspired melody on a French-inspired organ!!
