Walther Haffner (1925–2002) — Ostinato (1998) for organ

German organist Walther Haffner (1925–2002) was educated in church music in Stuttgart and completed an apprenticeship as an organbuilder with Steinmeyer in Oettingen/Ries. After work in organbuilding and serving as a church musician in Wunsiedel, from 1976 until his retirement in 1991, he was a church musician in Rummelsberg. As a composer, Haffner wrote primarily for the organ and for wind/brass ensembles.
