Description:
Andreas Kneller was a German composer and organist of the North German school. This piece is a clear example of the stylus phantasticus: free passages alternating with fugal sections.

A contemporary described Kneller's style as 'a free way of composition, not subject to any constraints'. I think this piece perfectly demonstrates that.
