| Description: | While searching for some lesser known North-German organ works, I found this Sonatina from Christian Ritter. The title 'Sonatina' made me curious, since I associate this title with classicism. However, when you listen to the piece you directly recognize the stylus phantasticus. I would classify it as a Toccata or Praeludium. Nevertheless, it's a very fine piece, very well suited for the Noordbroek organ/sample set.
Note: I omitted some weird notes from this score edition, which weren't in some performances I listened to (Leonhardt, Kooiman). All the extra notes are my own additions/ornamentations. Maybe too much, but I always get excited while playing pieces like this :)
Since I use four different plenums, I didn't think it was interesting to share my registrations. If you'd like to know them, let me know. |
