I am taking a brief break from Lang to enjoy this wonderful arrangement of a traditional Irish melody by Edwin Lemare.
I think Evensong have done a remarkable job with the IPLA Skinner: we have a lovely Kilgen organ in town on which I played a St. Patrick's Day recital. Growing up in Ireland I knew nothing of all the strings on the American Classic instrument. Our Kilgen is of similar vintage to the IPLA Skinner and WOW - what a joy to be able to make these sounds at home!
For comparison: here is a recording I made of this very piece at the church (Using six channels in our relatively dry accoustic, similar to how the IPLA was recorded)

This is an old article about our efforts in town to maintain our local treasure:

Enjoy - I know I look forward to many many more hours of happy exploration on this fantastic set.
Bravo to the Evensong team!!!
Note: no added reverb here - all natural accoustic.
My sliders in HW are approximately
Direct: 40%
Ambient: 90%
Diff: 100%
