Description:
The first of a Cabanilles double bill: 2 contrasting pieces on 2 contrasting organs. This one is not quite a Passacaglia in the sense we are used to with a theme for the pedal, it is nevertheless a set of variations on a 4 bar passage. The Galician organ is used here with additional reverb (the organ lost its original reverb when moved to a private collection). This organ is elegant and quite delicate.
