Prelude on ‘Sweet Sacrament’

This lovely trio on the well-known (Catholic) hymn tune was recently shared with me by the composer. He wrote it in honor of his daughter's first communion this past Sunday. I find it an absolutely charming trio, written in a convincing baroque style.

The refrain of the hymn states,

"Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore;
Oh let us love Thee more and more!
Oh let us love Thee more and more!"
