Owen Alstott (b. 1947) — Fantasia (1984) for organ
Owen Alstott (b. 1947) is a native of Oregon and was educated at Mt. Angel Seminary, Willamette University, and Marylhurst College. He was editor and publisher at Oregon Catholic Press from 1976–92. As a composer, Alstott has written primarily Catholic liturgical music that is used throughout the world, including “Heritage Mass,” one of the best-known congregational mass settings, and the “Respond & Acclaim” responsorial psalter. In 2006, he was named Pastoral Musician of the Year by the National Association of Pastoral Musicians.
