And again a complete sonata by the chamber musician Georg Philipp Telemann, of whom our music teacher used to say: "Telemann is 0815" - the 0815 being known in Germany as a paraphrase of the account "General" in accounting.
But these duets for 2 treble recorders show that Telemann is anything but "0815". They are very beautiful and I made a trio sonata out of them by adding a basso continuo. Admittedly I had an easier time with the Sonata op2 Nr3, the F-Major Sonata is a bit more bulky and in many cases does not allow for a bass voice, which is due to the fact that typical cadenzas that one sets in the B.C. are already played by the 2nd voice. Therefore, in some places in the cadenza, I took the liberty of changing this 2nd voice a bit to make it fit - Telemann may forgive me!
