All the time I was wondering what exactly makes this little piece such an outstanding beauty. Still not sure, maybe we should leave it Bach’s secret.
To play this on organ, 4 hands are needed, so I have to admit that the performance consists of two runs: I recorded the orchestra parts when playing back the chorus, that I recorded in the first run and all stitched together by the ‘clarino’.
Actually, I’m not sure whether this is an authorized practice for Concert Hall contributions… Can someone comment? Is it done more often? It is live recording, but played twice.
By the way, to get it right in sync sounds easier than it is, was my experience…
