David's nice recording https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/31055
of this beautiful piece has inspired me to play it during the service last sunday. This recording shows the Principal 8 foot Stops on all 3 Manuals of the Steinmeyer-Organ, first alone. From 1:39 I added the strings next to the Principals. After some years of playing the original pipe organ I think, that Steinmeyer has intended, to have a more dark sound with the Principals solo and a slightly more brillant together with the strings. At 2:54 I moved back to the Principals alone.
The youtube Movie shows some clips I filmed yesterday close to my home. But even more it shows the current situation. Lockdown, winter for the music, for the art, for the soul. When the spring will come?
