Composer: Scherer, Sebastian Anton
Sample Producer: Piotr Grabowski
Sample Set: Strassburg, C. Werner, 1743
Software: Hauptwerk V
Genre: Baroque
Description:
Sebastian Anton Scherer (1632-1712) was a German composer and organist. He was born in Ulm, where he resided until his death.

Although the Werner organ in Strassburg, Austria was built later than the time these pieces were written in, I like how these pieces sound on it. And I can never resist using the beautiful flute 4' stops of this organ. Together with the Gemshorn 8', the highlights of this organ for me.

00:00 Intonatio Prima Secundi Toni

Pos: Gedackt 8', Principal 4'
Ped: Subbass 16', Oktavbass 8', Posaun 16'
Pos-HW, HW-Ped
01:03 Intonatio Secunda Secundi Toni
HW: Gedeckt 8', Flöte 4', Octav 1'
02:08 Intonatio Tertia Secundi Toni
HW: Gedeckt 8', Gemshorn 8'
Pos: Gedackt 8'
Pos-HW
03:30 Intonatio Quarta Secundi Toni

The 3rd intonation I recorded four months ago on the Obervellach sampleset, not realizing it belonged with the other three intonations in 'secundi toni'. But it's nice to compare both versions; different tempi, different registrations:
