Jägerleben

A German hunter's song based on a folk tune from 1827.

I composed the present movement more than 20 years ago. At that time I used sampled wind instruments to play on my Alesis Quadrasynth.

Recently I rediscovered the movement and transposed it for the Friesach organ from C to E-flat major and distributed the voices on 3 manuals and pedal.

We hear 3 verses of this beautiful song, each with an increasing number of voices. Finally in verse 3 we hear almost all voices of the Friesach Eisenbarth organ. A fanfare for the turn of the year - have fun with it!
