Description:
Kde domov můj ("Where is my homeland?" ) is the national anthem of the Czech Republic. The lyrics come from the play "Fidlovačka" ("The Cobbler's Feast") by Josef Kajetán Tyl, first performed in Prague in 1834, the melody was composed by František Škroup. The text consists of two stanzas, although the second one is hardly known even by the general public.

Rainer Maria Rilke appreciated the song Kde domov můj and paid tribute to it in two poems in the collection Larenopfer (1895).

Here now the song part 1 and 3, the 3-part fugue is part 2.

We hear a hybrid organ. The song movement is played by the Orthfresen, the fugue on the Melcer Music Chamberhall organ.
