Come, Ye Thankful People, Come (St. George's Windsor)

Thanksgiving starts in just a few hours with many of us facing the heartbreaking truth of having to spend the holiday away from our families for their own protection. This hymn is a mainstay of American Thanksgiving services, particularly associated with the tune St. George's Windsor.

I recorded this after setting out my cooking supplies for a solitary feast tomorrow, but I am grateful for so much this past year. I have been able to work in a field that I find fulfilling, inspiring others to pursue their passions and become themselves. I've had the opportunity to return to education, read dozens of books, and realign my personal priorities. That discovery brought me back to putting creativity at the forefront of my day, and jumpstarted my quest to get into Hauptwerk and starting to work some things out. As a player, I have a long way to go before I feel confident walking up to an instrument and playing literature, but this is a fun place to come, listen to others, and hopefully become a better musician.
