A month ago adri uploaded a recording of the Saint Eucaire sample set with added reverb. You can listen to it here: https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/42012
In my comments I was a bit critical about using IR and make the sample set sound so grand. Perhaps too critical. So, I decided to play a bit with IR's and this sample set. The proof of the pudding is in the eating after all.
I used one of the standard IR's that come with Hauptwerk, with about 4 seconds of added reverb. And I used the recorded midi file to create a version without IR for comparison. This is the version with added reverb.
The video has both versions glued together.
And to my own surprise, I like the version with reverb better. What do you think?
