Victor Herbert (1859-1924) had an "interesting" early life according to Wikipedia. The bulk of his musical life was in America as cellist, conductor and prolific composer.
As far as I can ascertain, this is the only piece he wrote for the organ, commissioned by the Aeolian Organ Company and only available to owners of Aeolian organs as paper rolls (as for a pianola). The score for this piece was transcribed from one of these rolls.
(Health warning to any on calorie or carbohydrate controlled diets: the pool of syrup your speakers will be sitting in at the end of this piece probably corresponds to several days' allowance of both.)
