"Lob sei dem allmächtigen Gott " BWV 704 for my Series: Chorale preludes to "Gotteslob"

Today: song number 223 "Wir sagen euch an, den lieben Advent"

While playing through this Fughetta, I had the idea that this work, with a few minor additions, would fit well as a character prelude to the tender song "Wir sagen euch an, den lieben Advent" in the hymnal GOTTESLOB (song number :223)
So in this recording I first played the slightly modified version with a delicate 4'-registration as a character prelude to the song. The song comes afterwards also as a song accompaniment. Afterwards (1:38 min) the original Bach score is played.
