Marcia Hempel (b. 1956) — Caprice (2019) for organ

Marcia Hempel (b. 1956) was educated at the New England Conservatory, Rhode Island Conservatory, and Westminster Choir College. For many years, she held numerous roles in the musical community of Nantucket, Massachusetts, serving as music director and organist of the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, piano/organ/voice teacher for the Nantucket Music Center, music teacher at the Nantucket Lighthouse School, and founding director of the Women’s Chorus of Nantucket. In 2012, Hempel became the music director of the First Congregational Church in Harwich, Massachusetts, and in 2013 founded the Harwich Women’s Chorus.
