"A ship comes, loaded with" is an Advent chorale, which is one of the oldest German-language sacred songs. The melody to the text, which probably originates from Alsace was first recorded in 1608 in the Andernach Hymnal Book.

I have set the beautiful chorale for 4 voices. The melody sounds 2 times, each time with a different movement variant. The piece is introduced and concluded by 1 fanfare with full organ.
