Description: | The song "Zum Tanze, da geht ein Mädel" is based on the Swedish roundelay song "Och jungfrun hon går i dansen", which was recorded in the 19th century in different variations and translated into German by Alfred Julius Boruttau around 1910. In the youth movement "Zum Tanze, da geht ein Mädel" was quite common. The song reached its reception peak after the Second World War when it was included in numerous consumer and school song books. More than 20 years ago, I enjoyed setting this song in polyphony. Originally arranged for synthesizer/ROM sampler), I got the idea to play it on the Melcer Chamber Music Hall organ ... and here is the result.
Have fun again!
