Description: | Ole Bull (5 February 1810 - 17 August 1880) was a Norwegian virtuoso violinist and composer, made over 70 compositions. The Herdmaiden's Sunday, it’s a song, but an adagio part from a violin rhapsody. The text is about a young girl who have to stay the whole summer on the mountain, dreaming to be at home on the way to church, when she sees the sunlight high in the sky she knows the church bells are ringing ( there ought to be chimes at the end chord…)
As Agnus_Dei recently said, easy pieces are often not easy to interprete. And my communication as a performer of this music piece to the listener was not easy with Organteq, difficult to communicate emotions, tried to choose right stops… (I wish I had understood, as a child, what my teacher meant, telling me to interpret the music, sadly I stopped taking piano lessons).
Thank you for reading and listening.
