Composer: Guillaume Dufay (1397-1474)
Sample Set: AVO - Solignac
Software: Hauptwerk V
Genre: Medieval and Renaissance
Description:
Guillaume Dufay (1397-1474) born and died in Cambrai (North of France) composed mainly vocal and instrumental pieces but not really for the organ (given his time).

Here is the "2 vocal pieces adapted for the organ" on the extended version of Solignac.
00:00 "Kyrie Christe Kyrie"
02:05 "Ave Regina Coelorum"

The organ of Solignac probably dates from the beginning of the 17th century. It also comes from the Liège region in Belgium. It is an eight-foot organ, with eight stops and a tremant, a single 54-key keyboard and an 18-note pedal. The transmission is mechanical for notes and stops.

The organ sample set was recorded and produced by Sebastian Halas for Grand Orgue. It was taken over by AVO for a Hauptwerk version (like the original) and an extended version (3 keyboards and pedalboard).

The sample set of this instrument is available for free on the AVO website at https://03.hauptwerk-augustine.info/Solignac-History/
