Lambert CHAUMONT was born in the Liège region (Belgium) around 1630-1635, died in Huy (1712). He was a priest and organist in St Germain (Huy - Belgium)
The organ of Solignac probably dates from the beginning of the 17th century. It also comes from the Liège region in Belgium. It is an eight-foot organ, with eight stops and a tremant, a single 54-key keyboard and an 18-note pedal. The transmission is mechanical for notes and stops.
The organ sample set was recorded and produced by Sebastian Halas for Grand Orgue. It was taken over by AVO for a Hauptwerk version (like the original) and an extended version (3 keyboards and pedalboard).
The book "Organ Pieces in Eight Tones (1695)" is made up of 8 Organ Suites and a few harpsichord pieces. Each suite includes ten verses.
Here is the "Suite N°8" (on the extended version Hauptwerk).
