*** Tonstück – Opus 60 nr. 17, composed by Johann Georg Herzog (1822-1909).
Starting as a 'common Herzogian' Andante it seems a not very surprising piece. But then this is followed by a lively and interesting Moderato with nice guirlandes of 8th notes in hands and feet, finally returning to the concluding Andante that ends soft and peaceful.
Played on the magnificent Walcker-Eule set that I will use for all 21 pieces of Opus 60.
