That Mozart also has a significant relationship to the organ is by no means well known. After all, only a few organ works are handed down from his pen. But many of Mozart's travels contain reports of astonished listeners to his organ playing. At the age of 11, Wolfgang emotionally describes his personal relationship to the instrument in a letter to his father: "The orgl is in my eyes and ears the king of all instruments".
