Ludo Geloen (b. 1962) — Marcia Entrada, op. 56, no. 1 (2001) for organ

Belgian composer Ludo Geloen (b. 1962) was born in Dikkebus and was educated at the Municipal Academy for Music in Word in Ypres (leper), the State Academy in Ghent, and the Royal Conservatory in Ghent. In 1998, he earned a carillon diploma from the Jef Denyn Royal Carillon School in Mechelen and formed a carillon duo (“Four Fists”) with his teacher, Koen Cosaert. As a performer, Geloen performed both in Belgium and abroad (the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy and Russia) and has made a number of recordings for the Belgian radio and television but also in the Netherlands and New Zealand. He has won several awards for his work as a composer and performer, including prizes for organ and composition in competitions in Terneuzen and Utrecht, as well as the 1999 BAP-Sabam Prize for his work Tension and Relief. Geloen teaches organ and carillon at the music academies in Ypres, Diksmuide, and Poperinge.
