Trumpet Tune in C

David N. Johnson (1922 - 1987) was an American Organist who studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and a prolific composer of Church music writing almost 300 items, including 30 Trumpet Tunes and Processionals for Organ. His most famous piece is "Trumpet Tune in D", however, the majestic "Trumpet Tune in C" which is slightly lesser known is a wonderful composition and would be a fabulous opener to either an organ recital, wedding or large liturgical event. On this video, played by Derek Burns, it has been recorded on the virtual Salisbury Cathedral Hauptwerk pipe organ and I really couldn't resist using the wonderful Tuba.
