This is my "Voluntary For a Short Procession". Composed (improvised) a few years ago, this is meant to be a quick, easy piece to trot out whenever you need a little filler.
There are two sections which can be repeated ad libitum (and ad nauseum) with/without the solo trumpet for variety. The melody can also be taken down an octave when featuring the trumpet. I've even thrown in a big gliss just for fun.
Score provided. Please let me know if you ever perform it (or upload it here); I'd love to hear it!
Update 4/2020: I've been receiving quite a few requests for this score via email after contrebombard posted his rendition. This might be a great piece to perform during your livestreams due to COVID. I'm fortunate enough to still be playing every Sunday for our livestreams which include a postlude, however short pieces work the best in this scenario. Shoot me links! I'd love to hear it.
