MAC No. 4: Die Nacht ist vorgedrungen

There is only little information available about Johannes Pröger (1917 – 1994). Since 1945, he was protestant vicar in
Kirchheimbolanden, from 1950 to 1952 pastor in Gauersheim and teacher for religion and music. As an organist and
musicologist, he worked primarily on Mozart. He published two volumes with transcriptions (Mozart at the Organ) and
some choral preludes.
