My impression of the compositions contained in manuscript Ms Lynar B3 until now is that the choral bound works are of greater quality than the free works. The preludes give for the largest part the impression of being students works or models for improvisation. The choral bound works are of a more mature quality. The small partita consisting of two versus of "Vater unser im Himmelreich" is a nice example. The first verse has the choral melody in the pedal part, with fore imitations in the other voices. The second verse has the choral melody in the upper voice, nicely embellished with runs and figurations. As with most compositions in this manuscript the composer is not indicated. This composition has some similarities with the three verse partita on "Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ" contained in manuscript KN 209. However, that does not really help, as that manuscript does not indicate a composer either. It's a pity the composer is unknown. It is a fine piece that is a joy to play and deserves to be heard.
