A short prelude on a Halleluja acclamation from the new catholic hymnary "Neues Gotteslob".

Johann Simon Kreuzpointner was born in Altötting/Bavaria in 1968.

From 1991 to 1999 he studied in Vienna composition (Claus Ganter, Kurt Schwertsik), organ (Michael Kitzinger, Klaus Kuchling) and improvisation (Peter Planyavsky).

Since 2003 he has been working at St. Pölten, Austria, as a church musician, teacher, regional cantor and consultant for church music of the diocese St. Pölten.

His “Seven Organ Pieces in the Style of Choral Preludes” are available from Doblinger.
