The second Prelude by Heinrich Schedemann in the Lynar manuscript B3 is the prelude in g minor, WV 41. It is a bit longer than the e minor one (WV 38) from the same manuscript. After an elongated introduction (the first 24 bars) a fugal section starts with a simple theme that is answered by itself in different positions in the theme. In bar 54 Scheidemann introduces a chromatic descending counter subject. In the final two bars Scheidemann return to the motif of the introduction. All in all, a quite well composed piece.
