This is a delightful 'Wedding March' by "A. Valenti". This hidden gem was totally unknown to me and I found it in a book of organ music printed in the late 1890's. I hoard old organ editions and it frequently pays off such as with this delightful work.
As of yet I have not been able to find any information on this composer. There is an Antonio Valenti, Italian organist, who dates from the Renaissance, however he rather evidently cannot be the composer of this piece. Consequentially, there is either a second, equally–obscure A. Valenti organist, or this particular edition misattributed the composition. Either way it is public domain. I am sharing the score with you all that this piece may become better known and you may enjoy it too!
I've decided to record it on the Portland Rosales. It is a bit face-shearing but fun nevertheless. I perhaps should have taken a "less is more" approach but I felt like warming myself up with a rousing recording on this frigid day. Please note I have made some editorial embellishments during this recording to my personal preference however my engraving of the score is true to source.
