Again, thinking of how a parish organist would adapt the sounds of a 20th century/romantic church organ to earlier music, here's a unison principal sound for a short work in fugal style.
I avoided the Great unison diapasons altogether. Even the Small was too big. Instead I've used the swell Geigen Principal 8, with some extra body added by the unison stopped flute.
The composer - Johann Heinrich Buttstedt (1666 - 1727) - was Pachelbel's most important student, and in turn Buttstedt's best pupil was J G Walther.
