Composer: Pachelbel, Johann
Sample Producer: Sonus Paradisi
Sample Set: Krzeszow Organ by Michael Engler (1732-37)
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Baroque
Description:
A beautiful and appealing Fughette und Choral by Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) on the chorale Aus tiefer Not schrei ich zu dir (Dur-Melodie).
Also known as "Ach wie elend ist unsre Zeit".

Played on the Engler-instrument at Krzeszow. Principals 8ft, Quintadena 16ft and Flutes 4ft in the manuals; Quintadena 16ft, both 16ft strings and the Principal 8ft in the Pedal part.

I think that this sound emphasises the begging character of the hymn.
The 16ft in the manual gives a dark brown color but nevertheless it remains transparant enough to follow the pre-imitations that precede the phrases.

I hope you'll like it too.
Enjoy!
