Musette

Ernest Grosjean (1844 - 1936) published "Pièces pour orgue ou harmonium", a set of 56 pieces in two volumes, in 1902. The first volume contains 33 easy pieces, that can be played without the use of pedals. The Musette is a lyrical piece, that Grosjean intended for the typical French Hautbois on the Récit. By way of experiment I play in on a Baroque organ. It is surprising how well it sounds with a Dolceaan and Baarpijp instead of a Hautbois and Flute Harmonique.
