Two versions :
- Dudelange first ;
- Aristide no1 V2 at 6:45.
This Sicilienne is the second piece in Duruflé's Suite op.5. It's one of the few organ pieces which could console about the lack of Fauré's and Ravel original output for organ.
IMHO, on Dudelange one can perhaps more easily perceive the details of this music op.5 ; they tend to be a bit "lost" or shrouded in "St-Ouen's" vast acoustics. But it's just a matter of taste and I'd say exactly the opposite for the Prélude from the same Suite op.5..
Despite its simple appearance and calm atmosphere, it was quite long and awkward to learn ; most "hands and body"-unfriendly :-)
