Description:
Here's a tiny offering, breaking a drought of some months during which I've not uploaded anything to CCH.

Yesterday I downloaded "Postludes in 2 minutes or less" by Richard A Williamson - from the Lorenz Corporation.

Also, I've just installed the new Sonus Paradisi Hill instrument.

Being very familiar with the Hill sound I was keen at acquire this sample set. While the actual organ upon which it is based is clearly a rebuild, not a restoration, the basis of the Hill sound is still apparent.

This tiny postlude - a quick exercise in sight-reading - uses just three registrations. First, the intro on some clean fluework without Twelfth or Mixtures. Next, a much fuller wash of fluework (including doubles, but omitting the Great Mixture which is quints and unisons only). Hill chorus mixtures usually contained the tierce rank - sometimes just in the bass, but sometimes right through. The Swell mixture here is exactly what one would expect of Hill. The final combination showcases the Tuba against Full Swell and almost full Great (until the last few chords). I've increased the Tuba significantly in power. MIDI file attached.
